• Transitioning to an ASD Building in Year 10!

òòò½ÊÓƵ STrEaM Academy was conceived in 2012 by a team of dedicated teachers who taught together at Nicholas J Begich Middle School. They worked for four years to open a new middle school in east òòò½ÊÓƵ with the desire to serve "the underserved communities on the east side of òòò½ÊÓƵ".

In 2016 the founders hired Adam Mokelke as our founding principal and signed a lease for space to teach on the first floor of the Wayland University building at 7801 East 32nd Ave. STrEaM grew in popularity and expanded into all the available classrooms at the university.

In 2025 the òòò½ÊÓƵ School District undertook measures to "rightsize" and determined that space reallocation would make buildings available for use by other programs, such as charter schools. During the March 4, 2025 school board meeting, òòò½ÊÓƵ STrEaM Academy was offered the Nunaka Elementary School building at 1901 Twining Drive.
